Kickstart program

Memorial is offering a selection of courses from various disciplines during spring semester for new high school/secondary students scheduled to start university this fall (September semester).

You will have the opportunity to register for a university credit course during a 10-week spring semester, running June 4-Aug. 12.

Registration opens Tuesday, May 26 at 9 a.m. (NDT)

To help you be successful in your first online or remote learning course at Memorial, the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) will be enrolling students in an online orientation site, available to students on June 1. Access the orientation by logging into Brightspace and select the "Connect - Kickstart your Orientation" on the homepage. If you need assistance, please contact the CITL Support Centre.

Register for a course

To register for a course, after you've been accepted you'll need to set up your MUN Login (if you haven't done so already).

Starting on Tuesday, May 26 at 9 a.m. (NDT) sign in to my.mun.ca using your MUN Login and then select the Student tab. Next, click the Launch Memorial Self-Service button to access Self-Service.

The first time you login you'll need to create a unique PIN, and a security question.
Your default PIN is your year of birth followed by your day of birth (YYYYDD). If you were born on May 24, 2001 your default PIN would be 200124. Your new PIN will need to be a six digit numeric number.

Steps to register

Once you are in to Memorial Self-Service:

  1. Select Student Main Menu.
  2. Select Registration.
  3. Select Add/Drop Classes.
  4. Select the term: Spring 2019-2020.
  5. Enter in the course registration number (CRN) for the course you want to take. (CRNs are listed above next to the course).
  6. Click Submit Changes.
  7. Pay for your course.

Good to remember: CRNs change every semester and vary between different sections of a course.

You'll enjoy living here

Grenfell is located in one of the most beautiful settings in the country: clean air, roaring ocean, majestic mountains.  The west coast of Newfoundland is a hub of adventure in summer, winter, spring and fall. Hiking trails criss-cross the area. There are spots to ski, snowboard, rock climb and zipline.​ Marble Mountain Resort​​ is 1,700 feet of top-notch skiing and snowboarding and Blow Me Down Trails Cross Country Ski Club has 42 km of groomed trails – both just minutes from campus. And a short car ride away is Gros Morne National Park, a world heritage site with marine inlets, rich forest and glacier-carved fjords.​ Get your outdoor groove on.​
