Summer of sustainability

Summer 2018 can be greener than ever before! Each week, we are going to suggest a new way that can help you live a greener and more sustainable life!

Tip #1: Use a drying rack or clothesline!Sustainabilitytip1.jpg

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are no strangers to the clothesline. Yet many of us take the easy route when the laundry has piled up; it's just EASIER to throw the laundry in the dryer. According to the NL Power "Take Charge" website, it costs close to $85 to run your dryer each year! If you live in a place that allows clotheslines (remarkably, they are banned in some municipalities), buy some clothespins, let mother nature air-dry those sheets, and start saving money!
