Complete the university's application for general admission/readmission. All supporting documents including your official transcripts for the general admission/readmission application should be mailed directly to the Office of the Registrar.

As part of your general application, students applying for the visual arts, BFA program must prepare a personal statement on why you are choosing visual arts as your area of study and why you would like to study at Grenfell Campus, as well as a summary of your art training and/or experience. If you don't have any formal training or experience, don't worry. Take this time to explore your passion for art and why you are interested in our program.

Prepare your portfolio. In addition to your application to Memorial University, you must also submit a portfolio of your artwork (images of 15 - 20 artworks or original pieces). Please send your portfolio to:

The deadline to submit your application and portfolio is March 1 for the following fall semester. Late applications will be considered but priority will be given to applications received by March 1. Submit your portfolio to the Grenfell Campus Registrar in digital or hard copy format. All late applications must be submitted in digital format.
Note: students graduating (or having graduated) from a high school with a fine arts focus, or an arts-based high school are encouraged to call our Fine Arts Office for guidance in your application. Some Memorial course admission requirements can be waived or substituted. Call 709-637-6223.
