Research interests/expertise

My primary research interest is the career of L.M. Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, but I have also published recently on Elizabeth Gaskell and continue to study the works of Jane Austen, while pursuing my interest in magazines and serial publications of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Teaching

I teach courses on the history of English language and literature (2005, 2006, 2007, 3395), and courses on women writers (2805, 3810) and children's literature (2870), as well as first year courses.  I have supervised 4950 projects on topics ranging from Dr. Seuss to autobiographies of professional wrestlers to Jane Austen to Harry Potter.
