The Grenfell Campus master
of management will be the first and only program of its kind in Atlantic Canada, and
one of only a few in Canada. Pending final approval, the MMgt will be
Memorial University’s newest master’s degree.
This
innovative, online, course-based program will consist of ten courses taken two
at a time in a specified sequence over five consecutive fall and winter
semesters, along with an opening orientation workshop at the beginning of the
program. Exploring fundamental management topics as they relate to individuals,
groups and organizations, each cohort of students will complete the program in less
than two and a half years.
The
Grenfell MMgt is intended for professionals with diverse backgrounds who are
either currently employed as, or aspiring to become, managers in a broad range
of organizations. Admission is primarily intended for those who have not
previously studied business or management in a post-secondary environment but who
are working in or toward managerial positions and require the skillset that
goes along with these. Applicants who have completed an undergraduate degree in
business, commerce, management, or similar may also be considered for admission.
