RESEARCH AND GRADUATE STUDIES 

The research and graduate studies portfolios at Grenfell Campus are overseen by Dr. Kelly Vodden, associate vice-president (Grenfell Campus) research and graduate studies. Dr. Vodden brings experience in senior leadership and is an award-winning teacher and an active researcher. Dr. Vodden directs a team that provides assistance in the areas of research growth and support, grant and contract services, research financial services, graduate studies and scholarly engagement. The office's goals and the objectives can be found in the Research and Graduate Studies strategic plans, which in turn support the Grenfell Campus Strategic Plan. 


RESEARCH AT GRENFELL CAMPUS

Grenfell Campus, Memorial University is a dynamic and creative research community. Scholars are active in all areas of research, innovation, scholarship and creative activity, and the campus is poised for research growth. Grenfell Campus is recognized for its rich record of engagement with community partners and research collaborators, in Newfoundland and Labrador and around the world.


GRENFELL CAMPUS RESEARCH COMMITTEE

As outlined in its terms of reference, the Grenfell Campus Research Committee supports and provides advice to the Associate Vice-President (Grenfell) Research and Graduate Studies and Research Office staff regarding the planning of regular events, as well as longer term strategic planning, to foster improvements in research at Grenfell. The committee also recommends procedures and evaluates applications for the Vice-President’s (Grenfell Campus) Research Fund. In addition, the committee serves as a liaison between the Schools, Library Council and the Grenfell Office of Research and Graduate Studies. Current membership includes:

GRADUATE STUDIES AT GRENFELL CAMPUS

Grenfell Campus is continuously building its graduate program offerings. So far, the campus offers three master's degrees in arts, fine arts and science. Other master's degrees and a doctorate are currently under development as well. Grenfell's graduate programs offer excellent opportunities for hands-on research and collaboration with supervisors/faculty members.
