After careful consideration of information from provincial and federal health agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic as well as Memorial University’s current policy on non-essential gatherings on campus, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our inaugural conference, “ARC-NL2020: Building the ARC” which was scheduled for May 7-8, 2020. The goal of this event is to promote interactions between researchers and older adults in Newfoundland and Labrador in order to address important issues around aging in our province and to share some of the exciting research currently taking place. With that in mind, we are looking at holding the conference at a later date in order to deliver the best possible experience for everyone. Details will be announced as soon as they are available. Please follow us on our website at www.grenfell.mun.ca/arcnl2020 or on Twitter @MUN_ARC for announcements to follow.
Full refunds will be given to anyone who has already registered for our event. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (709) 639-4872 if you have any questions or concerns. We are so grateful for the interest expressed by the public for our inaugural conference and look forward to making this happen in the near future.
Registration is now open! Visit our registration page here.
This two-day conference, organized in conjunction with SeniorsNL, aims to continue to build a critical mass of researchers and community members committed to growing aging research in the province.
In keeping with our mandate of promoting knowledge translation and ensuring the research is relevant and accessible to seniors in NL, we are inviting researchers to present their research on aging to an audience comprised of academics and members of the public with an interest in aging.
A full schedule will follow in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned!
