You must register for the Forget-Me-Not Charity Best Ball Golf Tournament using the registration form and submitting that and your cheque to the Forget Me Not Cenotaph Fund Inc. address listed at the bottom of the registration form.
** Please note: we can help arrange alumni teams for the tournament, so if you are interested in playing but do not have four players for a team, please complete the registration form and send an email to Heather Dawson (hdawson@grenfell.mun.ca) to be placed on an alumni team.

Danger Tree Memorial Site Soldier Dedication - 2 p.m.
Danger Tree Site, Grenfell Campus
Join the Forget-Me-Not Committee and Grenfell Campus as we unveil the second sculpture of the Danger Tree installation, the sculpture of First World War soldier Pte. Hugh McWhirter by Memorial University alumnus Mr. Morgan McDonald. A reception with special guests The Ennis Sisters will follow the unveiling.

The ever-popular Gros Morne Theatre Festival is back and we're planning a road trip to Cow Head. As part of the Harlow 50th Anniversary celebrations, we've arranged for a round-trip bus from Corner Brook - Cow Head and a discount to Tempting Providence thanks to Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador. Tempting Providence is the story of Nurse Myra Bennett who was known as Newfoundland and Labrador's "Florence Nightingale of the North". Women in Science and Engineering TED-Style Talks - 1:30 p.m.
Room 2026, Arts and Science Building, Grenfell Campus
Join us for TED-Style Talks (10 minutes or less) from faculty and staff of Grenfell Campus, including:
- Dr. Svetlana Barkanova, is an internationally-known researcher who joined our new physics program in 2017. She will talk about particle physics and the hunt for Dark Matter.
- Dr. Karen Doody is the coordinator of the Aging Research Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a biomedical researcher that is currently seeking to understand susceptibility to disease and to find potential therapies.
- Dr. Julie Sircom is a biologist with a research interest in bees and their role as pollinators. More specifically, she is trying to understand the causes, incidents and impacts of changes in the bumblebee population.
- Dr. Maria Kilfoil is is the manager of the Makerspace in the Navigate
Centre, and a physicist that is currently helping to lead a new NSERC
PromoScience program on campus to promote science to youth in Western
Newfoundland, particularly groups in rural areas, female students, and
indigenous students.

From Woods Island to the Curling Waterfront: the Furlong Brothers and the Bay of Islands Fishery, 1920s to 1950s - 6 p.m.
Corner Brook Public Library, 4 West Street
A public talk with Dr. Rainer Baehre and Richard Furlong. Dr. Baehre teaches Canadian and environmental history at Grenfell Campus. Richard Furlong's father co-founded the Furlong Brothers and their fishing and timber supply business.
A reception will follow the talk in the Birchy Cove Room at the Glynmill Inn with snacks and a cash bar. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please RSVP to rsvp@grenfell.mun.ca.
