Health and wellness

Year 1

• The Regional Recreation Centre, to be located on campus, is set to begin construction Fall 2021, and will convert our existing pool wing, into a new state-of-the-art facility.
• A second counsellor was hired on three-year term. The counsellor's time is shared between Grenfell Campus's Counselling and Psychological Services and the Western Regional School of Nursing
  
• Your Grenfell Experience, an online tool, was created to provide students access to online support, academic resources and virtual health tools. Other programs like the Student Relief Fund ensured students were cared for during the early days of the pandemic.
• Picnic tables and outdoor seating were established to encourage outdoor gatherings and places to relax and refresh on campus.

Year 2

• The construction of Regional Recreation Centre has commenced on campus, with a two-year construction timeline.
• An Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism pan-campus committee, with cross-campus representation, was developed.
  
• In support of the Pride community, a Pride room was established including a mini art exhibits, and the Pride flag was raised on campus.
• Meeting the needs of the diverse demographic, enhanced intramural sport offerings was increased and enhanced.
• Campus Enforcement and Patrol has been working collaboratively with CASE Management to support the overall mental health of students especially with after-hour supports, and collaborated with newly created Sexual Assault Response and Advocacy (SARA) service.
