    News Releases

A ghost incites Hamlet to seek revenge for the death of the King, his father.

You will be drawn to this fascinating young prince caught between salvation and damnation. As he follows his ill-fated and heart-breaking path to vengeance, he will also crawl into your hearts. Shakespeare's hugely popular story has pleased audiences for centuries. Part gripping thriller, part ghost story, part love story, and part dark comedy – Hamlet is one of the most celebrated plays ever written. In a setting suggestive of present day royal celebrity, Grenfell's theatre students explore the many ways in which this play still hits home in 2017.

Hamlet opens Wednesday, Nov. 22 and runs until Saturday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. in the main stage theatre in the Fine Arts Building at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, and they are available at the box office in the Fine Arts Atrium 7-8 p.m. on show nights or online.

Come and experience what some say is the greatest play ever written in the English language!
